Graduate Student Ian Ocampo Named One of Four Competition Winners for the 2021 LaserNetUS Best Student Poster Awards

Graduate Student Ian Ocampo named one of four competition winners at the 2021 LaserNetUs Best Student Poster Awards. Ocampo’s research poster is titled “Effect of iron on the B1-B2 phase transformation in (Mg,Fe)O under laser-driven ramp compression.” The poster was on display during the virtual LaserNetUS Annual Meeting on August 17th till 19th, 2021 and was available for discussion during his poster session.  

This U.S. Department of Energy’s LaserNetUS Annual Meeting is a supported consortium titled the LazerNetUS (www.lasernetus.org). It is comprised of ten-pulse laser facilities made available to users through an independent review process. LaserNetUs provides users-meetings to share findings and discuss further research plans with experts in the field of laser science. Congratulations to Ian Ocampo who received his award at the event's virtual closing ceremony on August 19.
