It is with great sadness that we announce that Jianjun Jiang passed away after a short illness. Jianjun was a visiting postdoctoral fellow in the Duffy group of the Department of Geosciences in 2019-2020. He received his Ph.D. from the Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2016 and was a staff member at the CAS Institute of Geochemistry. At Princeton, Jianjun carried out research on high-pressure properties of minerals and glasses using synchrotron X-ray diffraction and optical spectroscopy. Jianjun was a valued colleague who brought enthusiasm, energy, and a bright smile to his work (even under the hardships of the pandemic). His untimely loss is a tragedy and we will miss him greatly.
